The property, part of the Crown Estate and Grade II* listed, is a particularly important building of more than special architectural merit. The project included total refurbishment and restoration of expansive formal and informal living areas, leisure facilities and landscaping. ACS delivered a complex project which restored historical features alongside the provision of a future proofed infrastructure and exceptional high standards of finishes and detailing.

Materials were specified from around the world and the coordination of these widely dispersed suppliers and contractors required intense planning, translators and diplomacy.

In addition to the high level of finish significant building works were undertaken including extensive lead roofing, roof lights, rendering (to a historic specification), a new swimming pool, a new subterranean electricity substation, a commercial catering facility and a roof top extension.
